Hays are delighted to be supporting a successful and expanding organisation in Chesterfield with the recruitment of a Customer Service Advisor. This is a newly created role offering the chance to join a friendly, knowledgeable team within a well-established business renowned for its collaborative culture and commitment to employee development.This position would suit someone with previous experience in customer service, administration, hospitality, retail or a similar customer-facing environment who is looking to build a long-term career within a supportive office-based setting.

The Role

As a key member of the customer support team, you'll be responsible for delivering a high-quality service to customers while ensuring enquiries, orders and account information are managed efficiently and accurately.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing customer enquiries via telephone, email and online channels
Processing customer orders and updating internal systems
Providing updates on order status, availability and deliveries
Supporting customers with product and account-related enquiries
Maintaining accurate customer records and administration
Assisting with customer onboarding and account maintenance
Handling payments in line with company procedures
Resolving routine customer issues and escalating more complex matters when required
Working closely with colleagues across the business to ensure excellent customer service standards
Contributing to continuous improvement within customer service processes

About You
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

Previous experience in customer service administration or sales admin
Excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Good IT literacy and the ability to quickly learn new systems
A positive, professional and customer-focused approach
The ability to prioritise workload and work effectively within a busy team
A willingness to learn and develop within a growing organisation

Previous experience using CRM systems, customer databases or order processing software would be beneficial but is not essential.
