We are seeking an experienced Lead Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to the CEO whilst leading the Executive Support function.

This is a unique opportunity for a senior EA who enjoys combining executive support with people leadership. Acting as a trusted partner to the CEO, you will manage complex priorities, build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, and drive excellence across the support function.

Alongside providing support at executive level, you will lead a team consisting of five members of staff, all of whom will report directly into you. You will be responsible for setting standards, developing the team, and creating an efficient, high-performing support function.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Support

Provide proactive support to the CEO, managing a complex diary, travel arrangements, meetings, and communications.
Prepare presentations, reports, board papers, and briefing documents.
Act as a key liaison between the CEO and senior stakeholders.
Manage highly confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Leadership & Team Management

Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3 Executive Assistants, 1 Office Manager, and 1 Receptionist.
Conduct appraisals, performance reviews, objective setting, and development planning.
Support employee performance, engagement, and wellbeing.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

Driving Excellence

Establish best practice, service standards, and ways of working across the support function.
Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
Lead change initiatives and support business transformation activities.
Continuously improve the effectiveness of executive support across the organisation.

Stakeholder Management

Build trusted relationships with senior leaders across the business.
Influence and challenge stakeholders appropriately where required.
Navigate complex situations with professionalism, confidence, and sound judgement.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Executive Assistant who can demonstrate:

Significant experience supporting C-suite executives, ideally CEO level.
Proven people management experience.
Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Experience leading change, improving processes, and implementing new ways of working.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Strong commercial awareness and business judgement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
