Communications & Marketing Assistant

Location: Hybrid based in Thanet (with regular office attendance and team meetings in the Thanet office)
Contract: 14 month fixed-term maternity cover:
Hours: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

We are recruiting for a Communications & Marketing Assistant to join a small, collaborative marketing team supporting a portfolio of international conferences. This is a varied, creative role with event marketing at its core.

Responsibilities

Support the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns for international conferences
Write and coordinate content for email campaigns, social media, blogs and event apps
Create marketing materials including graphics, presentations, promotional assets and venue branding
Produce and manage email campaigns from planning through to scheduling and review
Create event app content, artwork and updates
Support website and social media updates
Produce sponsorship and promotional materials
Work with internal teams, designers and external suppliers to deliver campaigns
Ensure all marketing content remains consistent with brand guidelines
Monitor competitor and industry activity to help generate new ideas

Person Specification

Strong written communication and copywriting skills
Experience creating marketing content for digital, social media and/or email
A good eye for design, branding and attention to detail
Organised and able to manage multiple deadlines
Creative, adaptable and happy to get involved across different areas of marketing
Confident working independently and as part of a small, collaborative team
A personable approach and positive attitude are important

Please note: Candidates should be based in Kent within a reasonable commuting distance to the Thanet area.
