Hays are recruiting for a Office Assistant. This role is based in Manchester City Centre and is Temporary to Permanent and to start immediately.
An established and growing professional services organisation is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Corporate Governance Assistant to join its Manchester-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong administrative skills who enjoys working in a structured environment, supporting governance, compliance and company secretarial activities. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team and play a key role in ensuring important company records, meetings and governance processes are managed efficiently.

Your new role
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate meetings, including arranging venues, attendees and associated administration.
Prepare and distribute board packs and meeting documentation.
Provide administrative support during governance and board meetings where required.
Maintain statutory records, registers and company information accurately.
Support director appointment and resignation processes and associated documentation.
Liaise with external stakeholders, advisers and service providers.
Manage electronic filing systems and ensure documentation is accurately recorded and maintained.
Maintain and organise documentation within SharePoint and Microsoft 365 systems.
Assist with annual governance activities, policy reviews and compliance administration.
Support wider business projects, corporate initiatives and company events.
Undertake general office administration and ad hoc support duties as required

What you'll need to succeed

Previous administration, governance, compliance, legal support or company secretarial experience.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
The ability to work effectively to deadlines.
Confident communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
Strong Microsoft Office and SharePoint skills.
A proactive and professional approach to work.
The ability to work independently whilst contributing positively to a wider team.
