Document Controller / Project Administrator opportunity available in Dartford, supporting the delivery of social housing retrofit, decarbonisation and energy efficiency projects with a specialist construction contractor. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Document Controller or Project Administrator looking to join a growing business delivering PAS 2035 retrofit programmes, External Wall Insulation (EWI), building fabric improvements and refurbishment projects across London and the South East.

The Role

Working as a Document Controller / Administrator, you'll support the project delivery team with document management, project administration and general office support across multiple live projects.

Candidates must have previous hands-on experience using both Field View and Viewpoint. You must also be confident administering Viewpoint, including setting up projects, managing users, permissions and workflows.

Based full-time in the Dartford office, you'll work closely with project managers, site teams, commercial and operational staff to ensure project documentation is accurately managed throughout the project lifecycle. You'll also provide general administration and basic IT support to help keep the office running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Manage project documentation across multiple live retrofit and decarbonisation projects
Administer Viewpoint, including project setup, user management, permissions and workflows
Use Field View to support project documentation, quality and site information
Upload and manage drawings, RFIs, technical submissions, permits, compliance documents, warranties and O&M manuals
Support project teams with document control and day-to-day administration
Provide general office administration, including filing, meeting coordination and office support
Set up laptops, mobile phones and user accounts for new starters
Provide basic IT support, including troubleshooting laptops, printers and office equipment
Ensure project information is accurate, compliant and up to date
Liaise with operational, commercial, design and site teams to maintain effective document control

Requirements

Previous experience as a Document Controller, Project Administrator or Office Administrator within construction
Experience within social housing, retrofit, refurbishment, façade, EWI, decarbonisation or planned maintenance is highly desirable
Previous hands-on experience using both Field View and Viewpoint
Experience administering Viewpoint, including project setup, user management, permissions and workflows
Strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and document management systems
Comfortable setting up laptops, mobile phones and troubleshooting basic IT issues
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Strong communication and organisational skills
Able to work full-time on site in Dartford
