Temporary Purchase Ledger AssistantDuration: Ongoing temporary assignment Location: Alton Area (Fully Office-Based) Salary: £14.00 - £15.00 per hour (depending on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with some flexibility on start timesAbout the RoleThis position sits within a busy finance team and will suit an experienced Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable professional looking for an immediate opportunity.Key Responsibilities

Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
Preparing and processing weekly and monthly payment runs
Managing supplier queries via telephone and email
Setting up and maintaining supplier accounts and records
Ensuring invoices are authorised in line with company procedures
Supporting month-end activities and reporting requirements
Monitoring outstanding invoices and identifying overdue balances
Assisting the wider finance team with ad hoc administrative duties

Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience within a Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable or Finance Assistant position
Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues
Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
Experience with accounting systems such as Sage, SAP, Oracle, Xero, Dynamics or similar would be advantageous
