Reports to: Nursery Manager

Job Purpose

To provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment where children can learn and develop to their full potential. Working as part of the Early Years team, you will deliver high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), building positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and external professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS.
Act as a Key Person, building strong partnerships with parents and supporting each child's individual needs.
Observe, assess, and record children's progress, maintaining accurate Learning Journals.
Promote an inclusive environment that supports the wellbeing, development, and achievements of every child.
Ensure children's health, safety, and welfare through effective risk assessment and safeguarding practice.
Attend meetings, training, and supervision sessions, contributing positively to the nursery team.
Support students and work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with all nursery policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, or Senior Practitioner.

Working shift patterns of 7.45-4pm and 9.45-6pm.
