Purchasing and Supply Chain Administrator - Bridgwater, Somerset

Monday - Friday 7:30am till 4:30pm

The role of Purchasing and Supply Chain Administrator:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key supply chain partners, including suppliers and logistics providers, to improve communication, optimise lead times, ensure timely order fulfilment, and uphold high quality standards across all deliveries.
Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities and drive improved gross profit margins through effective procurement strategies, including "better buying" practices such as negotiating pricing, reviewing supplier performance, and analysing purchasing trends.
Support the expansion and optimisation of the supply chain network by identifying and onboarding new suppliers, diversifying sourcing options, and improving supply chain resilience to meet business growth and operational demands.
Liaise with suppliers, support operations, and help to drive efficiency across the supply chain.
Work closely with operations, logistics, fabrication, and customer service, gaining exposure across key areas of the business while helping to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

The ideal Purchasing and Supply Chain Administrator:

Excellent customer service and communication skills
Adaptable and able to pick up new systems and process quickly and efficiently
Proven experience working in a fast paced environment and working to deadlines
Creative and solution orientated
Team player with ability to work independently when required
Strong IT skills with good knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages
Experience within import or supporting European customers would be highly advantageous but not essential
Highly organised, proactive, motivated and ready to make an impact
Ambitious, driven, and eager to grow into a future leadership position
