A great opportunity has arisen within a long established manufacturing and logistics company for a highly organised and conscientious Office Administrator to join their busy facility in Medway Towns on a full-time basis. The role is initially on a temporary basis and there may be a permanent opportunity for the successful candidate after a qualifying period.

Hours of Work are 07.30-16.30, Monday-Friday.

This is a varied and rewarding role and as the first point of contact for customers, hauliers, suppliers, and colleagues, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of production, administration, purchasing, and stock control activities.

Key Responsibilities

Process and manage customer orders accurately.
Enter job information into company systems, ensuring all details and customer requirements are recorded correctly.
Verify incoming load documentation and update production progress.
Maintain accurate job files and production and quality records.
Ensure goods are correctly labelled and recorded.
Assist with purchasing raw materials, consumables, PPE, and First Aid supplies.
Maintain accurate stock records and support regular stock checks.
Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
Act as the first point of contact for customers and hauliers regarding orders, collections, and deliveries.
Work closely with the Site Manager, production team, and Accounts department to ensure efficient workflow and invoicing.
Support site compliance by maintaining accurate records for audits and company procedures.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

Previous experience in an administrative role.
Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Confidence working with multiple priorities in a busy industrial environment.
Good IT skills and experience using Microsoft Office and business systems.
A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems effectively.

Experience within a background in manufacturing, production, logistics, or stock control would be an advantage but is not essential.
