School Administrator - Margate

Full-time | £14.50+ per hour | Fixed-Term Contract (6 Months) | Start: September 2026

Academics Ltd, a leading education recruitment agency, is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established SEN school in Margate to recruit an experienced and highly organised School Administrator for a full-time 6-month fixed-term contract starting in September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated school administrator to join a supportive specialist setting where your organisational skills, professionalism, and previous school office experience will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school. The successful candidate will be confident working in a busy environment and committed to providing a high standard of support to staff, pupils, parents, and external professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain attendance, admissions, and pupil records using Arbor and other school management systems.
Provide comprehensive administrative support, including filing, data entry, document management, and correspondence.
Act as the first point of contact on reception, welcoming visitors, parents, staff, and external agencies with professionalism and sensitivity.
Respond to enquiries efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and excellent customer service.
Support the Senior Leadership Team and wider administration team with the effective day-to-day running of the school.
Assist with school communications, reporting, meetings, and general office duties.
Liaise with external professionals and agencies where required to support the needs of pupils.

Requirements

Previous school administration experience is essential.
Experience working within an SEN or specialist education setting is desirable.
Experience using Arbor is desirable.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm, patient, and compassionate approach.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
