Childcare Worker

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Family Time/Childcare Worker to join Cheshire East Council on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise contact sessions between children and their parents or family members
Ensure all interactions are safe, appropriate, and child-centred
Provide a supportive and neutral presence during visits
Observe and accurately record behaviour, interactions, and any concerns
Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns appropriately
Set up and prepare contact spaces to ensure a welcoming environment
Manage difficult situations calmly and professionally
Work closely with social workers, family support teams, and other professionals
Promote positive communication and healthy relationships where appropriate

Requirements:

Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals
Good communication and record-keeping skills
Full UK Drivers Licence
