Warehouse Operative

Location: Wormingford, Colchester

Night Shifts: 9am-6am, £17.21 per hour, overtime available

OR

Late Shifts: 4pm-1am £14.27 per hour, overtime rate of £17.21ph

About the Role:

A well-established food manufacturing company is looking for reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives to join its production team.

Due to the rural location, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

Requirements:

Valid, accredited Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence
Valid UK Driving Licence
Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
Basic English and maths skills
Physically fit for manual work
Comfortable in fast-paced environment
Food production experience is helpful but not required

Key Responsibilities:

Supply bulk packaging and materials to production and packing lines
Load and unload delivery vehicles
Support efficient stock rotation and use handheld RF scanners to ensure accurate inventory tracking
Help reduce waste and product damage during transit and storage
Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety, HACCP and site hygiene procedures
Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse and yard area
Complete required quality and pre-shift forklift inspection checks accurately
Operate all material handling equipment safely
Work closely with colleagues across production, packing, engineering and quality
