High Reach Forklift Driver

We are seeking a skilled High Reach Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating high-reach forklifts to efficiently handle materials, manage stock, and support shipping and receiving operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, mechanical aptitude, and safety protocols to ensure smooth and secure operations within our facility. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience looking to advance their careers in logistics and materials handling.

Responsibilities

Safely operate high-reach forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
Manage inventory by accurately stacking and organising stock in designated areas
Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying deliveries and preparing orders for dispatch
Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment and perform minor repairs or report maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel
Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accordingly
Handle materials with care, ensuring proper lifting techniques to prevent damage or injury
Support warehouse organisation by maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow efficiency and meet operational targets

Qualifications

Valid forklift licence with proven experience operating high-reach forklifts in a busy warehouse environment
Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshooting
Experience in materials handling, shipping & receiving, and general warehouse operations
Good organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
Basic mathematical skills for measurement, counting, and data entry tasks
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively in physically demanding conditions
Prior experience working in a warehouse setting is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
