A friendly and well-organised school in Rushden is seeking to appoint a School Administrator to join its dedicated office team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, professional, and approachable individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced educational environment and providing high-quality administrative support.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the school office, acting as a first point of contact for parents, visitors, staff, and pupils while ensuring administrative processes run efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Manage reception duties and provide a professional front-of-house service
Respond to telephone calls, emails, and visitor enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner
Maintain accurate pupil records and update school databases as required
Assist with attendance monitoring and reporting procedures
Support the preparation of school correspondence, newsletters, and documentation
Process admissions paperwork and maintain confidential records
Provide administrative support to senior leaders and teaching staff
Ensure compliance with school policies and data protection requirements

Ideal Candidate

Previous administration experience, ideally within an educational setting
Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
Confident using Microsoft Office and school management systems
Professional and welcoming approach when dealing with parents, pupils, and visitors
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively
Reliable, flexible, and able to work as part of a team
