What will you do as an Accounts Assistant?

End-to-end purchase ledge, including invoice processing, coding and approvals
Maintain supplier accounts, resolve queries and reconcile supplier statements
Cash flow reporting, month-end activities, accruals and aged creditors
Ensure accurate coding across nominal, departmental and project cost centres
Support credit control activities, including customer statements and payment allocations
Assist with VAT returns, audit preparation and stock takes

What do you need as an Accounts Assistant?

Previous experience within Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable
Strong understanding of accounting principles and finance processes
AAT qualified or studying towards AAT (desirable)
Excellent Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively
