Hours: 37.5 per week

Salary: £40,755 DOE

Cedar House is a 40-bed hospital for adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues, personality disorders, autism and challenging behaviours, who are detained under the Mental Health Act. Cedar House enjoys a beautiful rural location situated in the village of Barham, on the outskirts of Canterbury and is easily accessible by public transport, being on the main bus route between Canterbury and Folkestone.

Do you share our vision for high quality mental health recovery services and want to make a difference? If so, we are seeking to recruit experienced, motivated and flexible RMN/RNLD’s to join our hospital working on either a full or part time basis on a rotational shift pattern of days and nights, in order to meet the needs of the service over the twenty-four-hour period. You will be working with adults detained under the Mental Health Act with Learning Disabilities, mental health issues and Autism at Cedar House Hospital, Barham.

The role:

You will act as a keyworker, assess, plan, implement and evaluate care planning and risk assessment/risk management safety plans on a monthly basis and with service users on admission and at appropriate intervals. 
Providing support to service users with daily living, creating and following "my care plans" and working within the model of care.
To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team in a hospital setting, ensuring the delivery of holistic, recovery care to all service users
Supervision of staff at lower grades and the implementation of the Care Programme Approach.Previous experience working within a mental health setting is essential.
