We have an opportunity in our Engineering Tool Room for a Toolmaker. You may be qualified or experienced in another Engineering discipline such as CNC Machining and have milling and turning skills or maybe grinding and lathe CNC skills and are looking for a new role?
Our Tool Makers have an important role in our Manufacturing Plant and help keep production running, through maintenance and the making of “one of a kind” parts for the factory. You will work in a small team all dedicated to engineering and the engineering process within manufacturing.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent tooling skills or has maybe worked in the die making industry, have an Engineering background, with good knowledge of extrusion tooling or plastic tooling manufacture. The role is workshop based and is situated on site.

Responsibilities
Support for the extrusion tooling strategic plan.
Production of ‘one of a kind’ extrusion tools & components.
Delivery to required timescales & deadlines.
Conversion of CAD to CAM to support tool manufacture.
Support to; Extrusion Technicians, Project Engineers & Designers as required.
Ownership/responsibility for complete tool unit, manufacture, finishing & assembly.
Qualifications
Tool making or equivalent apprenticeship
CNC milling, manual turning, grinding, wire erosion & spark erosion
Benchwork & assembly skills
CAD/CAM capabilities
Basic IT skills
