Job Title: Trainee Mortgage Advisor offering an outstanding opportunity to become a fully CeMAP qualified Mortgaged Advisor:

Are you looking to build a successful career in financial services? New Homes Mortgage Helpline is the UK’s leading new homes Mortgage provider and has been in business for more than 30 years.  We are now recruiting an additional 10 Trainee Mortgage Advisors to join The New Homes Mortgage Helpline Direct Team.

The role offers full training and would ideally suit candidates with previous sales experience. We would be especially keen to hear from applicants with previous experience in Financial Services.

Timeline and earnings breakdown:

Location: Initially office based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, for the 1st 18 Months, then moving to home based working when promoted to a Mortgage and Protection Advisor**.

Year One Rewards: Six month salary guarantee of £23K, moving to a basic salary of £20K after 6 months with a generous commission package and benefits. Realistic, achievable 1st year OTE of £26,500 uncapped.

After 12 Months**: As your career with us progresses and you demonstrate that you are delivering excellent customer outcomes and meeting your KPI’s, you will become eligible for promotion to a Senior Consultant. This comes with an increased basic salary of £25K meaning your OTE will rise to £31,500+ uncapped*.

After 18 Months**: After 18 months you will become fully CeMAP Qualified and become a Home Based Mortgage Advisor, with a basic salary increase up to £35K and an OTE of £70K. 

CeMAP Support*: We will provide full financial support to gain CF1 & CF6 CeMAP Mortgage Advisor qualifications, including full provision for study materials with all exam entry costs paid for.

Working hours – During your training period you will be required to work a maximum of 35 hours per week, shift patterns are to be confirmed during induction.

Working Patterns: Variable working patterns are required each week.

Annual leave – 4 weeks paid annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 25 days plus bank holidays once you become a Mortgage Adviser.

Becoming a Trainee Mortgage Advisor:

New Homes Mortgage Helpline is the front line and first point of contact for our customers; needless to say, it is an important and integral part of our organisation. Our Trainee Mortgage Advisors are highly trained, work to high expectations and are responsible for delivering a fantastic first impression.  It’s fair to say no two days are the same.

As a Trainee Mortgage Advisor within the New Homes Mortgage Helpline Direct team, you will be responsible for engaging with prospective customers who have initially contacted us via one of our Housebuilder Clients’ websites or other digital platforms.  

You will join your customer on their journey from initial enquiry to ultimately reserving their dream home and as a Trainee Mortgage Advisor.  You will also be responsible for qualifying, building a strong rapport/relationship with our customer to facilitate the booking of their mortgage appointment with one of our highly trained Mortgage & Protection Advisors.

Required Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

Excellent inter-personal and presentation skills, with outstanding communication and listening skills.  You will also have the ability to explain complex information in a clear and simple way.
Comfortable working weekends and variable shifts as required.
Experience of Financial Services would be highly advantageous.
Highly competent Microsoft Office user, including Excel, Word and Outlook.  You will be able to quickly adapt to new software packages and online processes.
