JOB TITLE: Site Engineer
LOCATION: Portman Square House
REPORTING TO: Contract Manager
HOURS: Mon-Fri, 8-5
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
To efficiently undertake engineering duties, ensuring consistent operational delivery through smart working and the efficient execution of his/her day to day tasks. To liaise with the Helpdesk and Customer Contract Management Teams to provide excellent service delivery to our customers.
To oversee and undertake maintenance and reactive repairs of the Portman Square Houe assets with a cost effective, efficient, customer focused service to clients at all levels across the site.
To ensure that all work carried out is in accordance with RICS code of conduct, ARMA, IRPM and any other governing bodies within the industry.
To manage all aspects of H&S in relation to all works from planning to completion, including RA&MS COSHH, etc.
To ensure that all work carried out is in accordance NICEIC and any other governing bodies within the industry.
To ensure SLA and KPI's are achieved as laid down in the contract
To provide support to the Estate Management Team to ensure standards & deadlines are achieved.
To provide services within the building budgets for current financial year.
To ensure that the highest standards of contractors are engaged to work at the above premises and that they act as ambassadors for the company whether in or out of the workplace.
To submit detailed written reports following any planned reactive works to customers premises to enable any additional works to be quoted for
To enforce a fair, equal and diverse working environment for all staff and that we are legally compliant at all times in relation to Employment law.
Essential skills and knowledge:
City & Guilds Technical Qualifications - Combustion / Electrical / HVAC / Mechanical
Technical Competence in either Electrical or Mechanical Discipline
Good IT Skills - Intermediate level, excel, word, power point
Excellent communication skills
Customer Care Skills
Good understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace
Good understanding of M&E Building services
Personal Skills:
Be polite and courteous at all times to colleagues and clients
To create an open door policy to ensure that those who directly report to the House Manager are free and comfortable to do so.
Communicate verbally in a clear, concise and business-like manner.
Make sure all written communication is presented in a professional manner ensuring grammar, spelling and format is appropriate for the recipient and purpose.
Ensure problems that arise are dealt with and solutions found to ensure delivery to clients.
Demonstrate ability to make decisions both independently and collectively, having first evaluated all options. Support decisions with factual information.
Assess own performance and attributes, actively seeking support to meet development and departmental needs and demonstrate an awareness of impact on others
