Location: Preston
Pay Rate: £30,000 per annum

Our new specialist supported living service in Preston, will be support 6 adults with a learning disability and/or autism, who may have additional mental health conditions and behaviours that may challenge. This includes people moving on from long term hospital stays who require a trauma informed model of support.

The aim of the service is to enable people to live a fulfilled life, as independently as possible. You will develop positive, respectful and trusting relationships with the people we support to improve their confidence and self-esteem, incorporating both therapeutic and social based activities.

As a Scheme Manager you will report in to the registered manager and you will lead a team of support workers and senior support workers, to deliver exceptional care by modelling good and reflective practice. You will promote resilience and enthusiasm throughout the staff team to ensure everyone works effectively and cohesively in the best interests of the people we support.

You will be involved in the day to day management of the service, assessments, development of support plans, audits, supervision of staff, adhering to contractual requirements as laid out by the commissioning bodies and those of our regulators in addition to other responsibilities and duties.

You must be resilient, flexible and composed in your approach as this will be a challenging environment to work in, although equally rewarding. You will understand the importance of reflective practice and be involved in debriefs and incident analysis to ensure the best possible outcomes for the individual.

Due to the nature of the role, you should have previous leadership or management experience within a similar environment.

This is a full time 37.5 hour position which will include working predominantly days with some flexibility to work around the needs of the service and people we support.
