Management Accountant
A Precision Manufacturing company based in Skelmersdale is seeking a Management Accountant to complement the Finance function of the Group.
Working within a small finance team, you will support the decision making process to identify areas of operational improvement, support the company’s costing process and provide additional support to the finance function.
The role of Management Accountant:
- Build up a close working relationship with senior members of staff
- Development and Maintenance of internal monthly KPI reports and internal project/product cost summaries and budget trackers
- Create in-depth analysis to understand and highlight business drivers through data extraction and manipulation techniques
- Communicate key information, such as performance against budgets and forecasts, to finance and non-finance audiences
- Support continuous improvement and control in the reporting process
- Producing financial models for existing functions & new projects
- Reviewing and highlighting profitability opportunities and reporting on operational & commercial performance, with explanation and commentaries as required
- Assisting in the production of monthly financial and commercial analysis
- Supporting new budget/forecast production
- Supporting the transactional finance function when required
This new role would suit a personable candidate, used to working in a fast paced and changing environment with:
- Significant experience in an analytical role, with strong modelling skills, gained in a medium to large volume manufacturing environment
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Relevant working knowledge of SAP
- Strong communication, being able to maintain strong relationships within the Group, including the ability to communicate effectively to finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Be a CIMA finalist or qualified to at least the same level by experience
- Strong work ethic
