We seek someone to support our Delivery Managers, to inform, advise and guide learners towards their next steps. You’ll be an essential part of ensuring our team receive a remarkable and compliant learner journey.
We expect you to:
As a Skills and Career Progression Coach, you will be responsible for working with the learners and participants across all our funding streams, providing Information, advice, and guidance to overcome barriers to employment and achieve realistic job goals. The post holder will have a working knowledge of the Gatsby Benchmarks and implement its eight steps to support the best learner journey. In addition, you will work closely with Delivery Managers to meet performance KPI’s and build excellent relationships with learners, employers, and referral partners to support the development and progression of all learners and local relationships at Pathway.
Requirements of the Role
You will be working directly with learners and Delivery Managers in their roles. We expect you to:

Good knowledge of a stable careers programme
*
Utilising career and labour market information to inform learners
*
Individualise the support based on the needs of each learner
*
Understand the learner goal and link the curriculum accordingly
*
Build excellent relationships with employers to support learners, gain great work experience and provide sustainable employment
*
Guide and inform students about a wide range of educational avenues
*
Provide personal guidance to help develop personal and professional behaviours, including self-confidence and self-motivation
Other Duties
*
Deliver personal performance targets, Key Performance Indicators & Customer Service Standards
*
Manage a caseload of learners, setting SMART targets and accurately recording progression
*
Have expert knowledge of various funding streams, which are but not limited to advanced learner loans, AEB, apprenticeship and traineeships to support and enhance learner outcomes
*
To provide accurate and timely reports to your Line Manager
*
Ensure IAG paperwork is of the highest quality ensuring a minimum grade 2 IAG standard is consistently demonstrated
*
To ensure that the businesses policies and procedures are followed
*
Full awareness of Safeguarding and Equality and Diversity
*
To carry out any other duties which may be reasonably expected of the role
Knowledge and Skills
*
Knowledge of the employability and skill market
*
Understand and have experience of Ofsted and audit compliance
*
To have knowledge and expertise of ESFA funding streams
*
Resilient, relentless and the drive to succeed
*
Ability to work to tight deadlines and budgets, with attention to detail
*
An excellent work ethic and positive attitude to work
*
Excellent written and oral communication skills
