Role: Facilities Maintenance Engineer 

Located: Field Based – Mainly Midlands and North (Ricoh operate a vibrant working policy giving you flexible hybrid working options)

Package: To £36,000 DOE, plus Company Car or Car Allowance, Bonus & Benefits

We now have an opportunity for a maintenance engineer to join our in-house facilities team, to work within our highly collaborative function with responsibility for the audit, planning & maintenance within all premises.

As our customers visit our premises the role holder plays a key role in ensuring all premises live up to Ricoh’s value of ‘our office is our showroom’ therefore planned and reactive maintenance activity must be delivered to the highest standard while delivering exceptional face-to-face customer service.

What you will be doing...

Working across 13 properties, you will regularly undertake audits to determine the status of maintenance across all building fabrics and installations whether hard, mechanical, electrical, or soft products helping to plan for regular maintenance activity

Liaison with external contractors and suppliers to book service visits or to plan in specific projects to improve the portfolio

Work to an agreed planned preventative maintenance program as agreed between the role holder and Facilities Management team

Complete all reactive maintenance activities

Be available for any special projects across the RUK premises portfolio and help deliver such projects against agreed budgets and timescales

Carry out duties in such a way as to reduce expenditure and associated costs helping to maintain reasonable departmental running costs

Act as a site contact to manage and supervise all necessary contractor activity

Maintain Ricoh occupied property to that it is functional, safe, secure, reflecting the quality of the Ricoh brand

You will ideally have...

Proven experience across one of more of the following - Plumbing/Heating, Electrical, Construction, Carpentry/Trades, HVAC/Air Conditioning Systems, General Maintenance & decorating

Background of working in a facilities or similar helpdesk environment

Track record in front line customer service having a strong eye for detail

Self-starter, reliable, motivated, and able to work under own initiative as well as being able to work as part of a team

Commercially astute & be experienced at managing project activity to strict budgets

Strong organization, co-ordination, and management skills

UK Driving License & flexibility for national travel and to occasionally stay overnight away from main base
