HMRC are currently recruiting for an Executive Recruitment Consultant on a 6 month contract. This is a great opportunity to be part of the team that recruits the future leaders of HMRC.
What will the successful candidate be doing?
The Executive recruiter will lead on the delivery of Senior Civil Service (SCS) recruitment campaigns across HMRC. They will be responsible for proactively sourcing and engaging with executive level candidates for permanent, FTC and Non-Executive Director (NED) roles at Deputy Director level and above. They will work closely with our senior stakeholders to advise on attraction strategy, plan, launch and deliver effective end to end recruitment campaigns.
This is an exciting time for HR, as we start to transform our recruitment as part of our future location strategy.
Traditional recruitment methods have proved less effective in attracting many of these specific skills, so we are further growing our proactive talent sourcing capability to source and engage external talent who have not previously considered a career in government.
Who are we looking for?
* Delivery of executive level recruitment
* Attend planning meetings, launch campaigns, engage with candidates, undertake pre-sift of applications for the panel, attend shortlisting meeting, arrange assessments and interviews, attend wash-ups and support the panel with Board Reports and candidate feedback.
* Provide job and market insight and knowledge to vacancy holder. Working with the vacancy holder to ensure a clear candidate specification is agreed for each job role either direct sourcing or via approved frameworks.
* Proactively sourcing and engaging with executive level candidates.
* Manage recruitment timelines and assessor engagement.
* Ensure all candidate communication is centred on the HMRC Brand using the Employer Value Proposition (EVP) and provide a great candidate experience regardless of the outcome.
* Engage with active candidates on a weekly basis and passive candidates to create robust pipelines.
Essential Criteria:
* Experience of working within a 360 recruitment delivery role in a fast paced and complex environment, ideally at a senior level.
* Proactive, direct recruitment experience is crucial – ideally across different sectors.
* Expertise in direct sourcing techniques such as identifying and engaging candidates via different professional and social networks.
* Demonstrable experience of building strong and trusted working relationships with senior stakeholders.
* Excellent in managing priorities and your own time with the ability to plan recruitment campaigns to ensure that you can deliver on the service
* Understanding of UK employment law around Recruitment practices including Data Protection Regulations
Desirable Criteria:
* Relevant HR or Recruitment qualification
