Summary of role
Manage an effective, high performing, high achieving team, who deliver the highest standard of teaching and learning in order to achieve the key goals and objectives in line with the organisational strategy of Babington. Drive performance and accomplishment of department strategy objectives through inspirational and motivating leadership.

Manage a high achieving, high performing team through direct coaching, training, and development with exceptional collaboration and camaraderie, creating a supporting and conducive working environment.
Support the Head of Delivery and Operational Business Partners to manage client relationships and become a trusted advisor to our client base.

Ensure the quality of the department reflects Ofsted grade 2 provision as a minimum by interpreting and articulating Education Inspection Framework (EIF) standards to the team, maintaining staff competencies through targeted continual personal professional development (CPPD) activities and strengthening performance.
Analyse existing knowledge and skills of current staff members in comparison to those required to undertake their roles and to encourage continuous professional development.

Create and communicate directives along with key performance indicators (KPI’s) for each role within the business area, ensuring a seamless link to departments objectives, Babington Strategic Goals and Core Values.
Undertake accurate assessment of staff performance by tracking KPIs in monthly 121 and caseload review meetings.

Essential Qualifications
Grade A-C GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent
Level 5 CMI Diploma in Management & Leadership or equivalent experience
Level 4 IT or Digital Qualification
Desirable Qualifications
Level 3 Award in Education & Training (or equivalent) teaching qualification or willingness to acquire one
Level 3 Certificate Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) qualification or willingness to acquire one
Skills and experience
Experience of developing educational strategies in a diverse and evolving business.
Rigorous involvement with business planning and operative budget management.
Experience of successfully managing high performing teams.
Proven delivery experience within further education.
Proven record of coordinating, developing, and delivering creative educational programmes.
Experience of successfully achieving deadlines and working without close supervision.
Experience of Ofsted inspections.
Knowledge of the Awarding Organisations, Funding Bodies and Ofsted regulatory arrangements.
Knowledge of curriculum planning.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
Hold a clean driving license with access to a vehicle or have the ability to travel.
