The SHEQ team at Colas are responsible for Safety, Health, Environment & Quality – they provide an enabling and advisory service to the management and employees of Colas Ltd on SHEQ matters in accordance with the dictates of legislation, company and group policy. We’re recruiting a SHEQ administrator, reporting into the SHEQ & Business Performance Director, to support the team on a daily basis and challenge the status quo.

Main ResponsibilitiesThis is a traditional support role - you’ll manage the SHEQ inbox for inbound queries and action anything necessary. You’ll support from an administrative perspective daily and also contribute towards the maintenance of the SHEQ library on our internal systems. A key part of this role is reporting on SHEQ/business performance to the Head of Department and parent company.

The Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will be a dynamic individual who is not afraid of contributing positive ideas on continuous improvement and constructively challenging the status quo to improve the function. You will have good attention to detail, be a data orientated type person and ideally have some previous basic reporting experience. You’ll have reasonable IT skills – ie will have used internal systems previously and not be terrified of a spreadsheet
