We have a fantastic opportunity for a Regional Energy & Environment Manager to join our team based in the Midlands. The salary on offer is from £38,000 to £43,000 with £3,000 car allowance and Annual Bonus.

This role is being offered on a Permanent full-time contract.

The Regional Energy & Environment Managers will form part of the wider Energy & Environment team and be a key role in helping NHS Property Services to deliver energy/carbon and cost savings whilst also ensuring environmental compliance and improvement across the estate.

NHS Property Services has signed up to the wider NHS England target of becoming Net-Zero Carbon by 2040. This commitment requires improved collaboration, engagement, and communication across the business, and as such the new role of Regional Energy & Environment Manager has been created to provide this support.

The Regional Energy & Environment Manager will report into the Programme Change Manager within the Energy & Environment (EE) team to identify, implement, and deliver energy and environmental initiatives, either specific to a region or as part of a wider National Programme. This will involve working as part of the Energy & Environment team and collaborating with the wider NHSPS group e.g. the Asset Management team, Regional Facilities Management team, Technical Services team, Construction and other key teams to drive and embed improvements in working towards a net-zero carbon estate that is fully compliant and adapted for future climate change impacts.

The role will also have a day-to-day dotted line into the Principal Energy Lead, Environment Compliance Manager and Utilities lead, working effectively within a matrix reporting structure.

Key Responsibilities

The role of Regional Energy & Environment Manager will cover both the energy/carbon reduction and the environmental compliance requirements and will be responsible for engaging with the wider estate on these issues whilst ensuring the regions are delivering on target.
