We are looking for an Interim Legal Counsel to join our Legal team on a 3-month Fixed Term Contract (it may be extended); this role will be largely home based, with some office working. The role of Legal Counsel is to provide support to the UK business on a range of legal and regulatory compliance matters. You will work closely with the Head of Legal and other business area leads to provide expert, pragmatic and timely advice.
Main ResponsibilitiesAs Interim Legal Counsel your role will involve:
Leading on day-to-day legal issues and playing a key role in the provision of expert legal advice across a diverse range of subject areas including commercial law, consumer law, employment and corporate law.
Advising, drafting, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts, and working with the Procurement team and business owners to understand commercial objectives.
Advising the business on and managing any disputes and litigation, and supporting the retail sites to resolve complex customer disputes.
Providing advice and support to the Human Resources team on employee-related issues.
Supporting the business with its regulatory compliance, particularly in relation to the FCA and the GDPR.The Ideal Candidate
Qualified solicitor with post qualification experience (a minimum of one years’ PQE).
Private practice or in-house.
Demonstrable experience of drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels. Thrives on working in a team, in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
