About The Role
Remote Base - UK Wide Coverage (Scotland, England & Wales)
At HC-One we are committed to continuously improving care and outcomes for our residents, relatives, and colleagues across the organisation and supporting those in our care to lead their best life as the kindest care home provider.
The Senior Quality Improvement (QI) Manager will play an important leadership role in helping HC-One build and embed a culture of continuous improvement (CI), by building QI capability & capacity and at the same time supporting, coaching, and empowering teams to deliver quality improvement in their own roles, teams, and departments.
You will work to ensure that the HC-One vision is effectively translated through the Continuous Improvement Strategy, Implementation plan, and all future QI projects. You will help form and then oversee a newly created QI team and ensure that the organisation has the appropriate skills ready to deliver the improvements, that there is a good understanding of delivery performance, and the appropriate actions are being taken to maintain the required scale and pace of improvement.
You will play an instrumental role in finalising and delivering the CI strategy and implementation plan, providing both the programme management expertise, and providing leadership and oversight of key QI projects that form the overall programme.
You will lead the engagement and support of our operational and central teams to deliver measurable change through the application of improvement methodology, to further develop our quality system and enhance the quality of the services we provide for our residents, relatives, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
This role will involve some travel across the UK.
About You
You will hold an approved Improvement Science/Quality Improvement training/certification, you will have significant experience and specialist knowledge of Quality Improvement [QI] tools, techniques, and methodologies (i.e. Model for Improvement, Lean or QSIR etc), and experience of training and coaching teams/colleagues in the use of QI methods. Although not essential, experience and understanding of Human Factors and Appreciative Inquiry would be beneficial.
With excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style, you will be passionate about the highest possible standards of resident outcomes and experience and will have proven experience of and the ability to enthuse and lead individuals and teams to deploy QI methodology into everyday improvement practice projects and fully embed QI within the organisation.
Ideally with experience of developing and accrediting a high quality education programme, you will have extensive experience in leading the up-skilling and development of large numbers of team members in relation to improvement and project/programme management techniques, and experience of presenting to a wide range of audiences, events and conferences.
You will have experience of rolling out, leading and managing projects in a complex health and social care setting, evidence of a successful track record of quality improvement projects and initiatives, and evidence of building effective working relationships with clinical/operational leaders, partner teams, external organisations and other stakeholders.
