Working as part of a newly formed Quality Improvement (QI) Team, the QI Manager will play an important management role in helping HC-One embed a culture of continuous improvement (CI), by supporting, coaching, and empowering teams to deliver quality improvement in their own roles, teams, and departments. Supporting the implementation of QI throughout HC-One, providing expertise in improvement methods and championing Continuous Quality Improvement.

You will assist the Senior QI Manager in successfully delivering the Continuous Improvement Strategy and Implementation plan, provide project management expertise, management, delivery, and oversight of allocated QI projects, and provide training through project delivery and through designing and delivering bespoke QI teaching programmes/sessions.

You will engage and support our operational and central teams to deliver measurable change through the application of quality improvement methodologies, help further develop our quality system, and enhance the quality of the services we provide for our residents, relatives, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

The QI Manager will have responsibility for 5 key areas of work:

Supporting Quality Improvement within HC-One,

Delivering improvement training,

Supporting and coaching improvement projects,

Responsibility for managing the QI performance dashboard and collating information/producing reports on the status of QI projects and on the status of QI training within HC-One,

Provide line management for QI Facilitators.

This role will involve some travel across the UK

About You

Ideally holding an Improvement Science/Quality Improvement training/certification, you will have previous experience in a similar quality improvement role and have proven experience of enthusing and leading individuals and teams to deploy a QI methodology into everyday improvement practice projects and embedding QI within an organisation.

You will have experience and specialist knowledge of Quality Improvement (QI) tools, techniques, and methodologies (i.e., Model for Improvement, Lean or QSIR etc), and of training and coaching teams/colleagues in the use of QI methods. Extensive experience in leading the up-skilling and development of large numbers of team members in relation to improvement and project/programme management techniques, knowledge of improvement and performance dashboards (i.e., LifeQI) and presenting to a range of different audiences. Although not essential, experience and understanding of Human Factors and Appreciative Inquiry would be beneficial.

Enthusiastic, curious, and innovative, with a collaborative leadership style, you will be passionate about the highest possible standards of resident outcomes and experience. You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, with evidence of building effective working relationships with clinical/operational team members and other stakeholders and will have experience of managing a high performing team.

You will be able to process complex information and have excellent analytical skills and will have proven experience of managing projects in health or social care settings, using improvement methodology to solve problems.
