We are currently looking to appoint Recovery Support Workers, in a variety of contracted positions, to join our friendly team at London Road.

The Service:

London Road, Supported Living Flats. London Road provides supported living accommodation for men and women with ongoing mental health support needs. London Road consists of ten flats and is an ideal setting to assess and consolidate skills, identify areas that need more work and risk assess in an environment that replicates home. Our experienced care teams encourage service users to set their own goals and objectives and work towards achieving them at a pace they are comfortable with. This allows them to gain some autonomy over the care and support they receive. Support is available round the clock and is tailored to meet the needs of each individual and will be adapted as they develop resilience, coping strategies, confidence and self-reliance. Staff provide residents with 1:1 support to develop their independent living skills including budgeting, managing their tenancy agreement, medication management and developing safe relationships. Residents are assisted when accessing social, occupational and vocational opportunities in the community, including attending recovery college.

The Job Role:

To undertake duties to support our residents with varying degrees of mental health illness, in line with agreed plans and direction by the clinical team using a recovery focussed model. We are providing individuals with practical and emotional care, enabling them to lead as ordinary life as they can achieve. You will need to be flexible, as you are required to work shifts including bank holidays and weekends.

Key Skills:

Experience in a Caring environment preferred, but not essential
Able to work days, evenings, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays
Good communication skills, allowing you to engage & interact with our residents
Ability to keep calm under pressure
Confidence to work alone and also be part of a team (family)
Passionate about making a difference to someone else life
Good written skills
Able to fulfil the sleep-in duties in accordance with the agreed rota
Driver preferred but not essential
