Assistant Service Manager
Coombe Oak House 2
Location: Kingston upon Thames
£24,254 per annum (pro rata)
Hours: 39 hours per week including 16 hours admin time. Shifts include 7am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, mid shifts, sleep ins and waking night 9:30pm-7am.We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Assistant Service Manager to join the team in Kingston

You will help oversee House 2 at Coombe Oak which supports adults with mild to severe learning disabilities and some health conditions.

What will you be doing?

Take ownership for continuing professional development for self and the team.
Work with your Service Manager to use management information to make sound business decisions to encourage a solutions led culture.
Maintain a practical knowledge of policies and procedures and ensure appropriate usage.
Act as the Service Manager in their absence.
Doing staff supervisions as well as booking and managing staff training and development.
Rota management
Weekly and monthly finance and medication audits
Ordering, storage and disposal of medication
You will motivate and inspire your team to provide outstanding support through effective training, coaching and leadership by example.
Day to day support for the people we are supporting including day to day support at home, in the community and with personal care.
Activities the people you support can include cooking, baking, arts & crafts, gardening, meals out, communal parties, swimming, visiting local shops, cafes and restaurants.About YOU!

Experience supporting individuals who have learning disabilities, mental health needs
Experience of supervising/managing a small to medium team within social care or be willing to be trained (including supervisions, probations, inductions)
Experienced with providing Person-Centred support and to be passionate about it.
To be able to support people with personal care
Ability to manage own time and able to work under pressure
Be flexible and be able to work shifts required
Full manual drivers licence highly desirableBenefits you can expect!
