Job Details

The Small Works Projects Team gives first-class service to our high end, private sector and commercial customers, acting with complete professionalism and empathy at all times.

As the largest electrical contractor in the new-build housing sector, we wire over 24,000 homes a year on behalf of the leading house builders. Established for over 40 years, we’ve built a strong reputation for high quality customer service and you’ll play an important part in helping us maintain this. 

The successful candidate will complete programmed project works within agreed timeframes, to the highest standard of workmanship and in a clean and tidy manner, showing consideration to our customers at all times. 

The role includes domestic and commercial electrical installations and fault finding, as well as Renewable Energy works such as: EV chargers, PV, ASHP’s, LED lighting and MVHR systems. 

We’ll supply you with a VW Transporter van and all the equipment you’ll need, including an iPad for accessing technical information.

Training will be provided as part of the successful applicants continued development in any new technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • To complete electrical installations and project works as programmed.
  • To rectify any electrical defects in assigned properties.
  • To reassure and always communicate with our clients and customers professionally.
  • Produce details reports to enable quotations to be prepared for projects.
  • To update jobs/projects daily (including photos) on any works completed and actions required.
  • To work in a clean and tidy manner, leaving the working area cleaner than it was on arrival.
  • To investigate materials required and arrange for these to be made available in advance of the project or job start date.
  • To record completion notes and close all completed defects.
  • To update the department of any appointments that require further visits.
  • To carry out maintenance and alterations to offices.
  • To carry out EICR testing on domestic and commercial properties.
  • To carry out Renewable energy product installations.
  • To carry out portable appliance tests.
  • To carry out additional tasks to support the business as required.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Proactive approach to work and continuous improvement
  • Patient with a calming influence on team members and customers 
  • Strong verbal and listening skills
  • Full driving licence required
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport 
  • Skilled at time management and internal communications

Required Experience:

  • Recognised electrical qualifications – level 3, AM2, 2391, 18th Edition, Gold Card, Alarm and data experience preferred
  • A competent electrician with an understanding of domestic and commercial installations
  • Experienced in installations, testing and fault finding.

Salary & Benefits:

£25,000 - £34,000 per annum, depending on experience. We will provide a VW Transporter, tools, uniform and an ipad.
