Olleco is on a mission to help protect the planet. Working together with thousands of food service businesses, greenhouse gas emissions are reduced by hundreds and thousands of tonnes. We are now looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team and help us to continue to do things the right way.

With over 1000 colleagues in multiple sites nationwide, we supply premium cooking oils, and collect organic waste, which is then converted into bio-methane, electricity, heat and organic fertiliser.

As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be a fundamental part of our team, enabling us to continue with our mission to help protect the planet whilst delivering a high standard of customer service combined with a strong focus on regular order fulfilment, customer retention and new customers.

A little bit more about the role:

- Work as part a customer service team
- Ensure prompt and accurate communication with customers as required
- Provide advanced notice to customers of service delivery schedule provided by the operations team
- Work with customers to help them combat UCO theft
- Work with and support the national sales team
- Act as first response for incoming calls
- Provide an appropriate level of support for other teams
- Help identify opportunities to improve service and retention activity to keep Olleco ahead of its competitors
- Support delivery of sales and customer service targets

What are we looking for? As you can imagine, you’ll need a broad range of personal skills to succeed, but we don’t expect you to have everything from the start! We will coach, train and support you, it’s more important that you have the right interpersonal skills and the intelligence to grasp our business and take us forward.

We will be looking for:

- Relevant work experience which can include: catering, telesales, customer service or other customer facing roles
- Good telephone manner
- Good communication skills
- The ability to understand and follow processes
- Attention to detail
- Ability to use computer systems - GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths (grade C/4 or above) required
