The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games have a new opportunity for a Social Media Manager to join the team and support the success of our social media strategy. Key responsibilities will include managing and maximising the use of various platforms, ensuring a consistent look across channels, and identifying key content opportunities.

The successful applicant will be an internal and external champion for social media, maximising opportunities and ensuring an innovative, results-driven approach to feed into the overall success of the social media strategy.

Responsibilities

• Help identify and deploy reactive and 'real-time' content opportunities in social media.
• Maintain a suite of social media reports and insight to benchmark against previous Games whilst monitoring success.
• Maximise the use of various functionality across platforms to create compelling, engaging and informative content and campaigns.
• Respond to comments across our social media accounts, encourage discussion and escalate as appropriate.
• Provide advice on developments in social media in terms of trends, usage patterns and functionality.
• Ensure consistent look and feel across profile pages, content and copy, with variations where appropriate.
• Maximise media spend across relevant networks using test and learn strategies, smart targeting and retargeting practices and funnel / lifecycle marketing.Please see the job description for a full breakdown of the position responsibilities.

Location: Five Brindley Place, Birmingham (full time office-based)

Salary: £16.50 per hour
