We are looking for a confident Safeguarding Administrator with a passion for delivering outstanding care.

You’ll be working 24 hours a week (flexible), at Cygnet Hospital Colchester, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care.

Cygnet Hospital Colchester, rated Good by CQC in all areas, is a 54 bed service providing a range of intensive support and rehabilitation services for men with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders or mental health needs.

The aim of our services is assessment, stabilisation, treatment and engagement, with a view to supporting service users in the least restrictive environment appropriate to their needs. Our services are recovery-focused, with the aim of preparing individuals for a move to rehabilitation or step-down services, and ultimately, back into the community wherever possible.

Your day-to-day... 

Provide a comprehensive, professional and confidential secretarial service to the Safeguarding Team using organisational ability in terms of administrative systems
Arrange meetings, coordinatinate information, preparation of agendas, minute taking, data entry and regular routine audits 
Support the Safeguarding team in implementing projects across the service;
Provide a diary management service with the ability to resolve conflicting diary appointments and schedules
Provide support to the provision of Safeguarding training across the service, including the recording of attendance and evaluations using appropriate databases
Carry out other administrative tasks that fall within the competencies of the post holder in order to provide cover and prepare and distribute documents and papers as requiredWhy Cygnet? We’ll offer you…

Vocational Level 3 in a relevant subject or able to demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge, skills and experience 
Experience in an administrative role 
Experience of dealing with confidentiality, sensitive data, appropriate maintenance and storage of records
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good knowledge of MS Office Suite and Excel
Ability to work on own initiative and manage own workload
Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
Keen to learn and develop skills Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
