Minimum 2 years experience as a support worker in a similar environment is essential.

We now have an exciting opportunity to join a small team of dedicated, experienced and passionate staff to support complex patients with a long standing history of Challenging Behaviour that includes Violence, Aggression and Poor Engagement in Activities.

You’ll be working 40 hours a week (12 hour shifts covering nights, days and weekends), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Hospital Bury. 

Cygnet Hospital Bury provides a wide range of inpatient mental health services for men and women including specialist deaf services and CAMHS provision for adolescents & is currently rated 'Good' by CQC

Your day-to-day…

Are able to understand PBS plan working; 
Are confident and able to maintain a consistent approach and re inforce boundaries as part of a PBS plan; 
Staff will be provided with Case Presentation/Regular Supervision, Reflective Practice and relevant training. 
To provide a unique individualised care package that will enhance the patient’s quality of life with the aim to move towards a successful discharge. Should the Pilot be successful we will consider to roll this out to other EPCsYou are…

Genuinely driven with a desire to make a real difference in people’s lives
An excellent communicator & a good team player
Have a minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience in Acute, Rehabilitation, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities or forensic psychiatry; 
Have previous experience in supporting individuals with challenging behaviour that includes violence, aggression and require high levels of support engagement in activities; 
Sensitive & intuitive with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating & varied environment
