SCC-DS is a leading managed print IT document services provider.

Reporting to the District Manager, the role is responsible to schedule calls effectively under the technicians in line with their skill sets. Make sure the clients SLA’s and KPI’s are achieved along with maximising the technicians’ working day.

The Regional Technical Planner will be responsible for driving multiple efficiencies across each of the regional teams through knowledge and best practice, whilst with the ability to maintain own development plan in line with business objectives and development to the team of Field Technicians to provide continuous improvement across all SCC-DS customers.

DIMENSIONS

•Planning for circa 71 Field Technicians

•Scheduling and planning all technical visits across the UK

•Pre-scheduling internally raised call such as installs, networking, decommissioning

•Responsibility for achieving the SCC-DS UK performance measurements for the regional teams

•Maximising the Technician’s working day

•Reducing travel time and carbon footprint

KEY RESULT AREAS

•Directly schedule designated teams of Field Technicians within a geographical region, In turn ensuring each Technician has the correct information to carry out their calls effectively

•Maximizing the technicians working day

•Working with the DM’s/TL/TS in the designated teams to build relationships and knowledge of their teams

•Ensure that any non-adherence to Company procedures or anomalies are highlighted to the relevant District Manager to act on and/or investigate

•Constant use of the Aeromark Scheduling system and logging any issue on the portal

•Escalation of issues and concerns from field as we as from internal and external customers

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE

•Understanding and achievement of the Company performance objectives in line with current planning KPI’s with support for the field KPI’s

•Excellent industry product knowledge

•Numerate and computer literate

•Application of ideas and techniques from analytic number theory

•People management skills in planning, organizing and coordinating

•High level of interpersonal skills, displaying the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, departments, customers and clients

•Presentation skills

•Negotiation & influencing skills

•Customer handling & relationship skills

•Processing chargeable forms/quotes

•Adhering to the Data Protection Act whilst gathering personal information for booking into security sites
