37.5 hours per week

The Group consists of;

Trident Housing, which provides landlord services for the Group in respect of housing management and maintenance

Trident Reach, which is a registered care and support charity providing services to those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and those who have been victims of domestic abuse across all age groups across the Midlands.

About the role

Supporting men experiencing domestic violence and abuse and stalking; to access safer accommodation, make long term positive and sustainable changes in their lives and to recover from the harm of domestic violence and abuse.

Develop and establish positive partnerships with homelessness organisations, Housing services, Cranstoun to ensure holistic and joined up service delivery.

To provide a high-quality support service to the male survivors experiencing domestic abuse.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver person centred outcomes by working in partnership with other service providers.

Working intensely with the male service users accessing Trident’s long-term dispersed service and creating mechanisms to gain information from the males that call Trident’s helpline you will gather data about the domestic abuse experienced by males, and barriers faced by male survivors within accessing services and identifying unmet needs.

The post holder will work collaboratively with Cranstoun who the commissioned provider for Lead Worker services (to include male victims) as well as receiving referrals from Trident’s dedicated helpline.

The post holder will deliver a time bound service for men who are survivors experiencing complex housing needs, including completing risk assessments, developing safety plans, and supporting through the criminal justice system.

Post holder will work with survivors to access safer accommodation support via Refuge, Sanctuary Scheme, Mankind, Respect, Trident’s long term dispersed units and other local initiatives

About you

Understand the specific needs of males and incorporate and promote best practice in all work undertaken to wider stakeholders.

Have in-depth knowledge of providing safety planning advice and carrying out risk assessments for domestic abuse survivors.

Experience of carrying out support and advocacy work for domestic abuse survivors

In-depth working knowledge of safeguarding within domestic abuse cases.

Knowledge of the welfare benefits system

Ability to effectively use case management systems

Working knowledge of housing legislation.
