General Manager, Hotel and Restaurant based in Warwick, Salary £65,000 - £70,000 per annum dependent on experience, additional annual leave, enhanced pension scheme and bonus scheme up to 30% of salary EBITDR/Business Balance Scorecard/Revenue Generation.

The Company:

Located in the heart of the midlands the hotel has a long history, with its 72 bedrooms, bar and restaurant, function space for up to 400 guests as well as the large outside terrace it has a busy food and beverage operation.

We are now seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the hotel in Warwickshire. The hotel offers a unique opportunity for the right candidate to shape the future of the property and stamp their own personal mark. If successful in this position, they would become part of the company’s future investment plans for expansion.

Reporting to the Revenue Director, you will have a strong focus on the delivery of exceptional guest care, as well as the commercial performance of the business.

This is a permanent, full-time role.

General Manager Main Duties:

  • Taking full control of every aspect of the hotel and associated outlets on a day-to-day basis to maximise sales and operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrating a competent and professional level of leadership.
  • Managing occupancy and driving growth in the food and beverage side of the business.
  • Maintaining an effective control of revenue and expenditure to achieve optimum financial efficiency.
  • Being an ambassador for the guest journey and ensuring brand values and service behaviours are delivered consistently in a professional and friendly environment.
  • Leading and developing across all departments to achieve exceptional performance across the key indicators of profit, and people.
  • Ensuring all queries, complaints, compliments and comments are acknowledged and dealt with courteously, quickly and efficiently, in a 48 hour turnaround period.
  • Ensuring that all guests receive an efficient, friendly and personalised service from all hotel employees.

General Manager Necessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience within a similar role is essential.
  • Ability to demonstrate clear progression, results and achievements throughout their hospitality career.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
  • Has a passion for excellent service and is a people-oriented leader with a history of developing and engaging their teams.
  • Numerate and literate.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Computer literate, with experience using Microsoft office including word and outlook.
  • Ability to resolve and discuss complex issues.
