Registered Service Manager - Smock Acre & Outreach Services, East Kent.

£32,082 per annum + benefits.

Full time 39 working across 3 services in East Kent.

We are looking for a Registered Service Manager to join the teams across 3 services within the East Kent area. East Kent Outreach is made up of two services, one in Eastry and one in Aylesham, Smock Acre is in Hoath, a rural location in between Herne Bay and Canterbury.

Due to the locations of these services the successful applicant must hold a Full UK Driving license & have access to their own vehicle.

The team at Smock Acre is a very established team of 10 staff members, and is made up of male and female staff. There is 1:1 support for 3 people living at the service during the day and shared support at night. The service users have Physical and Complex health needs, some minor challenging behaviours, autism, some health related issues such as dysphagia, This service is a residential service and therefore the successful candidate will be required to hold a registration with CQC.

The services in Eastry and Aylesham also has an experienced and well established team, and there are approximately 6 male and female staff members to make up this team. These services are both supported living and there is 1 flat in each location, within these services are 2 males. The service users have autism, some challenging behaviour supported by PBS. Both males are mobile, but have some communication difficulties, and some health related issues such as dysphagia

Some on Call duties within this role.

In this role you will motivate and inspire your team to provide outstanding support through effective training, coaching, and leadership by example. Acting as a role model you will empower the people we support to have active and fulfilling lives aligned with their needs and aspirations. You will be responsible for transitions of the people we support, Rotas', support plans, managing budgets, and monthly reports as well as recruitment, development and management of staff.

Due to the role, a majority of the working week will be Monday-Friday 9-5; however, there is some flexibility to adjust these hours across the week to suit the service. There could be some occasional shift work where you will need to observe practices and ensure standards are being maintained across the services.

About you;

Holding a registration with CQC and maintaining a minimum rating of good practice leading
Report writing
Ensuring the health and welfare of the individuals in your responsibility and ensuring policies/procedures and systems are in place to safeguard individuals from abuse
Regular Audits
Leading regular meetings and reviews
Ensuring the service is safe and that all Health and safety requirements are maintained
Medication ordering, storing, monitoring etc.
Staff supervisions, appraisals, managing staff performance and general observations
Managing finances and completing monthly returns
Monthly reporting
Completion of rota's
IT skills and completing Organisational systems such as people planner and care planning
Communicating and liaising with outside professionals and agencies
Conducting investigations where required
