Database Administrator
Job Type 6 Month Fixed-term contract
Location Central London (Bloomsbury)
Salary £20k - £25k with excellent benefits
Hours 35 hours per week; hybrid working option (minimum 3 days in the office)
An opportunity for an enthusiastic Database Administrator to join the digital team at the FDF. The role is part of the Corporate Services Team and it will focus primarily on making sure an audit is completed of all stakeholders contact records on our central database (CRM).
The Database Administrator will also ensure bounce backs are dealt with effectively daily and assist with new registrations. In addition, the Database Administrator will assist as required with ad-hoc CRM housekeeping.
Key responsibilities
* Conducting a full audit of all our stakeholder contacts ensuring these are correctly logged on the CRM
* Maintain and update FDF database (CRM) contacts including our members and stakeholders, add new contacts
* Updating database records with information provided by colleagues
* Identify contacts (individuals and companies) that have not actively engaged with the website for six months or more and assist with investigations into whether the contacts are still in post or need to be removed from the CRM
* Undertake a full audit of all CRM addresses, update and add any missing to enable a full site mapping exercise to be completed
* Assist the digital team on days with big volumes of data with new registrations enabling our users access to the FDF website
* Daily conduct investigation into any bounce-backs arising from marketing mail-outs and take action as necessary
* Manage central email accounts and ensure any data queries updated and reflected in the CRM
Requirements
* Previous experience of data-entry using a customer relationship management tool (CRM) databases
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to enter and check information quickly and accurately
* Excellent IT skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft spreadsheets and Outlook email
* Good communications and organisational skills
* Ability to work on own initiative and identify, raise and resolve queries with colleagues
* Ability to quickly develop contacts within a complex organisation and work as part of a team
* Methodical, able to plan and manage workload effectively and to maintain attention and accuracy whilst under-taking repetitive tasks
* Ability to work to deadlines
* Understanding of relational databases would be desirable
* Knowledge of HTML – web publishing, desirable
* Understanding sensitivities and confidentiality around data collection and data protection though training will be provided
