Service care solutions are recruiting for a Children's Support Worker to work a temp to perm contract in Barking.

Job Description
A children's support worker vacancy providing quality care to children and young adults within a supported home. This is a 6-month temporary agency position, with the view of becoming permanent with the employer.

Shifts - Day Shift (8am-8pm), Waking Night Shift (8pm-8am)
Hours - Full time, Minimum 33 hours per week (3 x 11-hour shifts)
Pay - £11 ph Ltd (Day), £11.50 ph Ltd (Nights & Weekends), £16 ph Ltd (Bank Holidays)
Location - Barking, South London

A full time, temporary agency position with the outlook on becoming permanent has arisen in a supported young person and children's home in Barking, London. This role will involve supporting the users of the service that suffer from learning disabilities and mental health issues. You will be expected to safeguard and prioritise the welfare of the young people at the home, ensuring you create positive relationships and maximise the young people's potential. You will be assisting the young people that use the service in expressing their own views and participating in decisions that affect them. You will be expected to establish positive and rewarding relationships, working as part of an experienced, enthusiastic team.

Candidate Requirements

Essential to have Diploma L3 in Health & Social Care and young people's workforce
Essential to have previous experience working with young people in a care environment or applicable voluntary experience.
Essential to have experience working with support and assessment planning framework.
Preferable to be able to drive.
Flexibility towards working unsociable hours.
