You will be working for a leading provider of housing, care and support services based in London who will offer you the perfect platform to launch your career.

Your new role
As a Mental Health Support Assistant your main responsibility will be to provide practical and emotional support to vulnerable residents, whilst preparing regular Risk Assessments and working to existing Support Plans. You will help your clients to sustain their tenancies and involve them in the community, monitor their well-being and refer onto more specialist staff where required. The role will require signposting to specialist agencies and offering assistance with budgeting and housing legislation. Full training will be provided.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A RESIDENTIAL ROLE AND AS SUCH WILL ENTAIL WORKING TO A 7 DAY PER WEEK ROTA WITH ONE 'SLEEP IN' SHIFT PER WEEK WHEN EXPERIENCE IS ACQUIRED.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need a psychology degree and ideally some previous experience working with vulnerable adults and understand the issues affecting those suffering from or Mental Illness, ideally within a residential environment. You will also need to be confident when dealing with individuals with challenging behaviour and proficient at using Microsoft packages, with excellent team work skills, demonstrating both collaboration and respect with peers and customers.
