Transport Manager:
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a company that has relocated to the area. My client deals with high scale event equipment hire and is looking for a transport administrator to join their team.
The role:
To manage all drivers and vehicles within the company to ensure that customer requirements are met in an efficient and cost-effective manner and costs are monitored, reviewed and controlled.
To manage and plan all temporary staffing drivers and freight requirements on a daily basis
To train, recruit and actively supervise all drivers
To conduct six monthly performance reviews for all drivers and ensure training plans are carried out and monitored
To take responsibility for the Health and Safety management of all staff
To monitor and plan flexible working hours schedules to ensure maximum efficiency and cost effectiveness with the transport department
To ensure all staff working hours are monitored and driving hours to comply with relevant legislation.
To ensure that all vehicles are maintained and kept at a roadworthy condition and are serviced and inspected at the relevant times
To download and manage drivers tachographs along with workloads and working hours
