My client in South Molton is currently in need of a Senior HR Generalist due to expansion.

Essential Functions:

* Assist the HR Manager in the administration and implementation of all phases in human resources including but no limited to employment, compensation, benefits, merit and VPP payments, labor relations, training, and worker’s compensation.

* Maintain personnel files by filing documents – personnel, medical, or other files

* Arranges and oversees final employment or transfer processing, including arranging background checks and Occupational Health surveillance & referrals, reviewing, and verifying information, extending employment offers. Handles correspondence related to staffing including offer letters, rejection letters, etc.

* Manages the disability claim process, coordinates each case with Occ. Health and/or EEF when appropriate and works with employees to facilitate positive employee relations and expedite return to full-duty work

* Coordinate’s business areas participation and feedback in the annual employee survey in conjunction with HR team; works with managers to develop action plans and monitors action plan completion

* Writes and maintains job descriptions or SPQ’s, PACTs and ensures data accuracy.

* Responsible for recruiting regular and temporary employees, following compensation requirements

* Maintains open employee requisition log and applicant tracking process, updates Finance headcount spreadsheet, and all relevant tracking spreadsheets as per standard work template.

* Processes employment information for all associates for the personnel file and the HRDA. Coaches’ managers to update MDA and perform HRDA data entry related to salaried and hourly employee record keeping, i.e., personal and employment information, pay information, performance reviews, corrective actions, training, leaves of absence, etc.

* Develop and implement new hire orientation, recruiting, and exit interview programs

* Provide employment verifications

* Assist in responding to day-to-day employee relations issues

* Drive the company Philosophy Work Practices across Titchfield site

Qualifications

Experience Required

* Excellent interpersonal skills including use of tact, judgment, and influencing.

* Proven ability in counselling/advising in various employment-related matters.

* Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion.

* Excellent written and oral communication skills.

* Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point, Outlook required; prior experience managing a HRIS desirable.

* UK employment legislation, Health and Safety at Work Act

* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or CIPD level 5

The salary for this position is paying £35k-£40k per annum which also includes a very good holiday package with additional benefits on top
