Our client is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic 'Payroll Person' with knowledge of current statutory regulations to join their Employment Services team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated and professional HR & Payroll team delivering services to internal and external organisations.
Based in Mold but this position offers WFH
37 hours per week - it also boasts flexible working hours.
Pay £12.24 - £13.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Temp to Perm(12 Months Contract)

An ideal candidate would have:
Thorough working knowledge of relevant policies and legislation relating to payroll service, HMRC requirements with regard to tax, national insurance, apprenticeship levy, RTI, auto enrolment, PAYE, off payroll working IR35.
Job Description
To administer an effective and efficient payroll for the Council and external customers in accordance with the relevant Service Level Agreement (SLA) that are delivered accurately and within strict payment deadlines
Deal with enquiries from employee's, services and internal and external audit as part of the
organisation wide corporate governance.
Responsible for the monthly payroll for approximately 7,000 employees amounting to
approximately £14m per month in accordance with statutory legislation and financial
regulations.
To be responsible for the verification of payments made by calculating tax, checking deductions
made and running validation reports. Ensuring all adjustments to payrolls are dealt with accurately,
advances and repayments cleared within strict deadlines, and all control sheets are completed
accurately.
Ensure all statutory and non-statutory deductions are accurately recorded and accounted for in the
payroll reconciliation to enable correct components to be recharged to the revenue accounts and
the holding accounts, and include all payments over to the relevant bodies.
Responsible for reconciling tax payments and ensure they are paid to Her Majesty's Revenue and
Customs (HMRC) by the scheduled deadline.
Ensure that tax code notifications received from
HMRC are validated and actioned in a timely manner, with any queries resolved directly with
HMRC.
Create BACS file for monthly and weekly payrolls as required and ensure that these are
approved in time for the applicable pay date.
Maintain the appropriate payroll control procedures for robust and thorough reconciliation of
pension payments to BACS, year-end and year-start procedures and all associated timescales.
Ensure that these are carried out in accordance with legislation and include the requirement to
provide a P35, P14 annual return to HMRC and produce P60's to employees.
Apply annual pay awards and increments in accordance as required ensuring that robust
reconciliation and error resolution is performed prior to final run.
Ensure that appropriate procedure manuals are created and maintained relating
to the running of the six different payrolls.
