Adecco are proud to be recruiting on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary for an exciting opportunity to join their 2nd Line IT Support team as an IT Support Analyst.
As a member the 2nd Line IT team, you will be responsible for providing a professional, competent, responsive and customer-focused 2nd-line technical support function for the Force's IT Systems, prioritising workload and investigations according to the impact on the customer(s) and/or business unit(s) affected, and liaising with colleagues both inside and outside the team to ensure the right outcomes are obtained for the customer.
The role of 2nd Line Support covers all Cheshire Police and Fire stations, meaning there is opportunity to attend these sites to resolve issues where remoting to devices is not feasible.
Qualifications and experience:
Educated to level 4 in IT or business-related subject or equivalent experience
ITIL Foundation Certificate (D) (or relevant experience with an aim to achieve ITIL within 12 months
Significant experience working in a customer focused environment
Significant experience in a technical support role
Significant technical knowledge which should include Windows Client and Server, Desktop and Laptop Architectures, Microsoft Office suite, IP WAN/LAN networks, thin client architectures and browser technologies.Starting salary is £23,817 plus shift allowance / unsociable hours payment for working unsocialable hours.
Based in the Force HQ building in Winsford, you will have access to all on-site facilities, including free parking, canteen and sports facilities as well as Employee Support Programmes.
The role is shift-based and once trained, new staff will be expected to move to the attached shift pattern
Shifts include weekends and bank holidays, but the aim is to finish at 11pm every night.
