Job Details

PMP Recruitment is looking for Skilled Production Assemblers with experience within the automotive / aerospace sectors for a client based in Pontypool.
Ideally, candidates will have previous experience within a mechanical assembly and be able to follow written and verbal instructions clearly. Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace is essential.
Rate of pay: £10.57 p/h
Hours: 40
Shift pattern - Days; Mon to Thurs 7am-4pm and Fri 7am-1pm
Job Summary
To assemble / Install seat and cabin sub-assemblies and machined items to design data in compliance with production operating standards and engineering drawings. To support the achievement of operational targets and KPI’s. To support production within a mechanical and electrical field requiring skilled intervention, ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance.
You will be required to support and promote best working practices across all production areas and seek to suggest and support improvement activities.

Be prepared to work towards and achieve minimum of Level 1 standard within 6 months of achieving role (FAL).
Key Responsibilities and Duties
General
∙ Assemble and install seat and cabin sub-assemblies and machined items to the highest standards of quality in accordance with SOP, PWI, PAD and engineering drawings
∙ Assemble and Install seat and cabin sub-assemblies and machined items to design data within required cycle time and DPU/PPM targets.
∙ Assemble and install, wire harnesses and electrical systems and equipment to design data within required cycle time and DPU/PPM targets.
∙ Understand and achieve personal KPI requirements for Efficiency and Quality to support the production delivery schedule.
∙ Complete travellers/production orders and other regulatory paperwork ∙ Take responsibility of own safety and the safety of colleagues by complying with Health and Safety standards and requirements.
∙ Comply with 5s Standards
∙ Participate in team continuous improvement activities and support development of best working practice within the unit.
