Job Details
My client, a leading HS2 contractor, is looking to recruit a Sr H&S Advisor to join the scheme in the Chipping Warden - Southam region. You will be working around the tunnels section. It is an ongoing contract and could last a number of years.
Responsibilities:
Providing advice and guidance to project team
Giving HSE coaching to project teams
Liaising with project and directors and Head of Health and Safety to create strategic H&S plans
Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced
Outline safe operational procedures which identify and take into account all relevant hazards
Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation
Skills and Experience:
NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
Previous experience as H&S Manager/Advisor/Consultant essential
Background in the construction industry
Previous rail experience preffered
Excellent written and communicatin skills
Ability to understand and analyse complex information and present it simply and accurately
An investigative mind
IT skills
Attention to detail
A flexible approach to work
An interest in the law and the ability to understand regulations
